When I...

... am drowsy, I find that chewing gum help keeps me awake. Mostly because as I get drowsier, the frequency at which I bite my cheeks/tongue increases. Nothing like a sharp pain to chase away sleep.

... study physics, I feel like killing something. When I study economics, I feel like a part of me is dying inside. I'm not quite sure why, and I'm not quite sure which is the lesser of two evils.

... am sleep-deprived and trying to study, all I really want to do is play pool. Of course, once I actually get there, all I really want to do is hit the balls really hard. That doesn't always work out in my favor. I blame it on the dim lighting.

... hear the alma mater playing on the bells in Baker Tower, I always think of that night during DOC trips when we were lying on that deck in the mountains, shivering in sleeping bags and jackets under an impossibly starry sky, attempting to learn the words. Then I look outside, and if I'm lucky the sun is still shining. Hanover glitters in the spring.
